HTTP/1.1 405(应该是错误代码吧）请求方法（GET、POST、HEAD、DELETE、PUT、TRACE等）对指定资源不适用。

安装PHPmotion时遇到问题：
Method Not Allowed
The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /videx/cgi-bin/uu_upload.pl.

经过搜索发现如下解决方法：
在主服务器配置文件中，使用Options指令显式地允许特定目录中CGI的执行：
<Directory /usr/local/apache/htdocs/somedir>
Options +ExecCGI
</Directory>
上述指令使Apache允许CGI文件的执行。另外，还必须告诉服务器哪些文件是CGI文件。下面的AddHandler指令告诉服务器所有带有cgi或pl后缀的文件是CGI程序：
AddHandler cgi-script cgi pl

可能是你的IIS设置有问题 检查一下你的目录访问权限和MIME类型的Verbs支持

在Application   mapping中添加.htm和.html文件类型，不管用。

同样的叶面在WinXP+IIS5.1上也曾有问题，只是提示是
HTTP   405   Resource   not   allowed   Error   in   IIS
参照http://www.somacon.com/p126.php后问题解决，
但需要部署的服务器是win2003+IIS6.0，一开始就显示
HTTP   Error   405   -   The   HTTP   verb   used   to   access   this   page   is   not   allowed错误
做跟xp+IIS5.1下同样设置后，没有作用

Your problem is in the web server setup. If you're using IIS, go to the
IIS properties page and edit the WWW service. Choose the home directory tab
and click on configuration. In the app mappings list, you should find the .php
extension followd by the path to php.exe and a list of verbs. This should
say [all].

If you're using Apache, there should be something similar in you
httpd.conf. Check
your documentation for more info.

Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.0 runtimes in the order indicated in your response, the same error occurs.

My environment details are as follows:
OS: Win XP SP2
IIS: 5.1

Should some config steps be carried out after reinstallation for the app connect to work.

I have solved the problem by doing the following:

1. Updated scriptmaps in IIS 5.1 to recognize the svc extension by using servicemodelreg.exe in 3.0 runtime installation directory
1.1 You can run the following command to install .svc mapping manually. However, this refreshes the IIS Metabase for existing sites. "%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe" /s:W3SVC

2. Used winhttpcertcfg to provide access to ASPNET account for the two certificates UASampleClient and UASampleServer
2.1 WinHttpCertCfg.exe -g -c LOCAL_MACHINE\MY -s "IssuedToName" -a "ASPNET"

After these two steps, the Sample Client can connect to the Server and launch the UA Server hosted on IIS.

How to Resolve an HTTP 405 Resource not allowed Error in IIS

1. Go into command prompt .
2. Go to the .NET framework directory 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322'
3. Run 'aspnet_regiis -i' there

My ASPX wasn't registered with my IIS5.1.

so I run in the command line: aspnet_regiis -i

which registered my server with ASPX

It's hard to say without knowing your Request URL.  But based on what you're saying, i'm guessing you did a POST with a url www.mysite.com/folder/ ... so in this case you'll need to make sure that your isapi extension is the first item in the default document setting for that virtual directory (as this KB article alludes to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216493  ).  In IIS6, this should work.  If you're posting directly to the ISAPI extension (for example: www.mysite.com/folder/myisapi.dll ) then something is wrong with the configuration (pasting a metabase.xml snippet would help).

互联网真是高手如云啊！终于找到了我所出现的这种错误。原来是因为我先安装的VS 2005,后安装的IIS才出现的。还真是啊！

解决办法如下：
在开始菜单中打开 "Microsoft .NET Framework SDK V2.0"目录下的“SDK 命令提示符”，打开以后在命令提示符中运行“aspnet_regiis -r”就可以了.
如果你安装的只是.net Framework,那么可以到下面的目录运行同样的命令:%Systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
